L-Valine / Feed Additive

L-Valine (Val) is an indispensable nutrient for pigs and poultry. Since the animal itself can't synthesize Val, the animal must obtain Val from the diet. Therefore, Val is an essential amino acid. Based on corn-soybean meal diets, Val is the fifth limiting amino acid in pigs and the fourth limiting amino acid in broilers. Val can oxidize and supply energy during a special physiological period, regulate protein turnover of skeletal muscle, and affect immune response in pigs. In the gestation and lactation period of sows, increasing the intake of Val can significantly improve the growth performance of piglets, increase the lactation of sows, and reduce the weight loss of sows.
