DL-Malic Acid / Food Additive
DL-malic acid in food industry is used as acidulant, color retention agent, preservative, emulsion stabilizer of egg yolk, etc. It is also used in pharmacy. DL-malic acid is used as sour agent in refreshing beverage (such as lactic acid bacteria beverage, milk beverage, soda, cola), frozen food like ice cream, and processed food like mayonnaise. DL-malic acid can also be used as color retention agent, preservative of fruit beverage, emulsifying stabilizer of egg yolk, etc.
